Every car can have a shitty driver. Every car has a different past. Yes, the car has a bad stigma linked to it. That doesn't mean that every one of these is like that. Even the mighty E30 has it's share of idiots.

Wow, typical, SRT-4 buyer can't take a joke. You realize what I am doing is perpetuating a stereotype, just like any any good car guy. Also, did you not notice the underappreciated bit which denoted the sarcasm?

Anyway, if you want to be like that, have fun finding the nearest telephone pole or overpass support and be sure to tell us that you only crashed when it broke traction when you shifted to 5th running from the 5-0 after you smoked that 911 turbo.

I've driven these all through high school, terrible terrible cars. Shitty interiors and just about everything else. The abuse these engines and trans can take is about the only thing impressive about them.

I don't mean to bash at all as I totally understand everyone has their taste... I just wish this was one of those "what do you guys suggest" threads so we could've at least made an effort to deter you from it.

Lol I needed something for a DD, but I didn't want something that I'd hate to drive. I figured that this had low enough miles that it SHOULD be okay and not as abused as others. My E30 still needs work before I'll pour more money into it, so more money for the E30 isn't in the picture right now.

I was just busting your balls. I loved launching these in high school. bringing spare tires to parking lots and parties. The good ole' days.

They're very fun for a 4cyl 4dr. Extremely cheap to mod as well. Stay away from cheap tunes and look into upgrading your turbo and cooler for a reliable daily hoon-machine.

Also, factory SRT wheels are heavy so look into something lightweight. They make a hell of a difference.

Don't let them get to you! While I can say that I was never impressed with the interior, these cars are awesome.

I catch shit for it, but the SRT-4 changed the game of low cost performance cars for the better. Nothing has matched is performance to dollar ratio before or since.
