I'm about to have a JDM RHD vehicle.
The ONLY thing I was concerned with is making left hand turns in traffic.
Easy solution for this is a camera system. Instead of how most newer luxury cars (or even new civics) show behind you and your blind spots when making a turn I'm going to have a camera or cameras pointing forward and have one to the far left of the vehicle so I can make left hand turns safely if there is a vehicle in front of me on the opposite side of the road making a left hand turn as well. It's an added cost, but there are a lot of systems out there that semi truck drivers use. So I'll have a reverse camera, and 3-5 more around the vehicle.
Shifting you'll get used to. Having the wipers and turn signals opposite you'll get used to.
The only real downside is drive-through fast food. You'll be switching seats, making sure you have a co-pilot, or if you're crazy like me... at least once I'm going to go through my preferred In N Out backwards like a boss. The cameras will help with this.Leave a comment:

I've been tempted a few times to sell me ix for a r32 gtr but I really don't think I would enjoy right hand drive, I know 3 guys in my area that had r32's imported and they have been going strong so far.

I'm a fan of Japanese imports. I know a guy who bought a R32 GTS-T for around like $13k. Super low kilometers, very clean, paint is pretty nice and he uses it as a daily driver. Idk if he used Japanese classics or not but whoever he used he said they handled basically everything for him and had no problems registering it here in NY.
Another person I know got an S13 Silvia (again not sure what company) car looks pretty clean but he has been having issues registering it at the DMV in NY. So you definitely want a company that will stand behind doing everything right for you.
My buddy has been hunting for a 4-door R32 so he can swap an SR20det into it instead of the RB20 it comes with. I think it'll be pretty cool. Personally I would love to import a diesel toyota pick up truck.
But I think the problem with having a RHD imported car is you gotta keep all your documents with you for when they pull you over, because cops will pull you over just for being on the other side of the car. Even having like a SR swapped 240 you're suppose to have the documents for the engine and blah blah blah but most cops don't really care or know enough to try and write you a ticket for an engine swap.Leave a comment:

im not exactly sure, ill have to ask my buddy, but seeing as none of the bikes on that site are newer then 91, i would take a stab that it also applies to motorcycles, if it didnt i would expect to see more NSRs/RGVs/MC22CBRs/ZX2Rs etc etc running aroundLeave a comment:

I brought my 500 back but it was easier in the 90's and I worked in Logistics, It can back as an off road bike only aka race bike. I did sell it just that way too as a race bike only. Was a blast to ride

i have only laid hands on an nsr250r once, and it was on consignment sale for north of $12k here in the CA bay area.

I don't mind paying a premium. I'd much rather fly out to a U.S. state and test drive and inspect a vehicle vs. buying blind from God only knows who from over seas with hopes that I receive a good vehicle on faith alone. I just don't have that much faith in anyone.those prices arent reasonable at all.
If you did some research on your own (regarding importing) youd be able to save a couple grand a import a car yourself.
R32 GTST are going for $12k on there when realistically they cost $5k in japan and shipping can cost $1k to $2k.Leave a comment:
