In my experience you don't need some of the 'required' texts at all.
Of course, I've passed classes I never showed up for so I don't know what that says.:wgaf: -

Yeah I'm using my smartphone to take notes now, so no notebooks. I'm going to try to find textbooks in e-book form, that way I'm set.
