    Wrc 2018

I figured we had an F1 tread last year and it would be fun to have a WRC thread for this year if anyone is following it or interested.

I'm trying out the free trial of WRC + All Live this weekend to see if its worth the price to watch all stages live for the season. Fingers crossed I can finally get to enjoy some good WRC coverage here in Canada this year with it.

Will be exciting to see if Ogier can get another championship with the factory Ford backing as well, or if Hyundai can finally get some better luck and win either constructors or drivers titles.

    Definitely let us know.

I'd so happily pay good money for proper WRC, F1, and V8 Supercar coverage.

Well the coverage was good, and I definitely enjoyed watching everything in detail over the weekend. It was cool that they were doing live stage footage direct from the heli and on car cameras.

It was also nice to be able to go back and rewatch the live coverage if I didn't want to stay up late to watch it in real time.

I will say that the only downside I had (personally) was staying away long enough to watch it all in real time.

Still not sure I am going to commit the dollars to the full season of coverage though...

I used to have an account to the place of which you speak, even after the domain change.

I don't like messing with it anymore.

^Keep in mind, if you're local ISP has introduced caps (like mine has) downloading lots of HD race content will help you really burn through it.

I had an account for a few years, but it became tiresome to wait until the race airs, then someone codes and uploads it, then you can download. Let's say an F1 race goes on 6am local time...........by the time all that has happened, I could typically actually watch the race around 3-4pm...........making sure to avoid news on the winner/events/etc all day.

Its strictly online through the WRC website. In canada at least, we haven't had broadcasted tv coverage of WRC since the Speedvision days which feels like centuries ago now...

I used to try and watch all the WRC races on Speedvision. Its been a long time since I've watched an event now.

I'm really kinda shocked by the fact that WRC isn't popular in the US. Its got everything, epic driving, huge drifts (at warp speed) big air, crashes, everything that most NASCAR people want to see... yet no coverage.

because you dont see ford raptors and dodge challengers doing it :p also probably because its like watching cycling you see a blur for about 5 sec. and thats it so its mostly boring to watch live. (I personally love it but im thinking of your typical nascar bubba sisterfucker type XD)

Its sad to see how unpopular it is stateside. I truly believe they are the best drivers in the world, yet we get 4 hours of pre/post NASCAR race shows and WRC doesn't even get a 30 minute slot at midnight anymore.

Not to mention, if there is a strong US fanbase there it would entice more automotive brands to invest in the series as factory teams.

i'm surprised ISPs are still doing that. netflix/hulu/etc turned everyone who can click a remote into a high-bandwidth user. other options?

i've admittedly stopped following motogp over the past 2 years or so, but i can only think of one time i had a race "spoiled" for me, and then i just unfollowed all my favorite drivers on facebook (and it wasn't really a surprise, oh, loeb won again). i can see that happening with f1, though, much more stateside coverage than wrc/motogp.

Locally they just started the caps a few months ago, and I don't suspect it will change anytime soon.
