    First Day of School

Today was my first day in college heading towards my ASE certification. I am attending COCC in Bend, OR and am majoring in Automotive Technology.

Today was the first day of orientation and then after Wednesday, I can start working on my various classes. They are all self paced, so basically I can come in and work on labs anytime I want between 8:00AM and 9:00 PM.

Now I need to go buy some tools!

I wasn't able to get registered in time to go with Andrew to the classes, but I'm going to see if I can start winter term.

Cool, apparently I have that same opportunity in my "Automotive Powerplants" class at my community college.

It's funny, everybody in my class is way in to trucks and 4 wheeling shit, and they get hard-ons talking about the lifts they want to get for their Ford Explorers and '95 Chevys. I'm the only one in the class who drives a car, much less a vintage european one, and is mainly concerned with lowering it. As long as I get to practice working on an inline OHC engine instead of goddamn buicks or 900lb pushrod v8's. Anybody want to donate their tired e30 engine to me?
