Bringing this thread for another go... as I recently turned of age and can now purhcase for myself.

There is a HUGE store in the area by my university, with beers from all over the world and many of the more popular micros in the states. Recommend some beers to try so that when I go back and I can build a rocking 6 for consumption and experimenting. Buying by the bottle FTW.

It is also a result of acetaldehyde buildup from the metabolism of alcohol by the liver, but that my friend, is NOT what this thread is about. But I must say that taking a couple Alka-Seltzers before retiring after a long night of drinking goes a long way to killing a hangover before it ever gets started. Don't believe? Try it. Anyways, back on topic.

Anyways, I was given a six of Sam Adams Boston Lager for my birthday, and to my surprise it was brewed in Rochester NY, where my school is. I am from Boston so I am familiar with the company, and never knew this fact.
