    ^^ this.

I still remember on my first day of a 3 year Graphic Design program in college, my prof told me something that pushed me to get through college and graduate.

"You are not here to learn, you are here to be taught HOW to learn. We can cram as much or as little information into your head as we like, but if you don't know how to retain and use that information then its just a waste of time."

      Clean your living space
      Eat healthy
Exercise - preferable a walk, run or bike in the woods. or paddle on the water to clear your mind
Organize! - make a "To Do" list every morning. Keep a well thought out, organized binder for every class you take. This will help you keep on task.
With all of the above in check you will have the WILL and ENERGY to succeed.
No video games, TV, and limit your social media.

This gent has a pretty spot on analysis.

Work on your daily micro routines. I am always amazed that people attempt to tackle life's serious tasks without knowing/memorizing/"completing on autopilot" all of their day to day tasks, especially in the morning and evening.

You want to kick ass at school, and everything else in life? Start by making your bed. As soon as you wake up. Then determine the order in which you will tackle your morning.

Try to get just 1% better at this basic, introductory, set of skills everyday. Hell, even 0.5% better per day will drastically shift your life.

Make this routine a habit and you will never again worry about being beat by something as trivial as a university class.

        Best of luck.

I did what was said above and I was much happier with myself, and in turn I became more successful at completing and accomplishing long term goals.

If your interested in cars OP take a look at this, and its only maybe a 25min drive from SJ. Not many people know about the program but they guarantee you a job after completion.. The catch is it doesn't have to be in the Bay Area. It's what I did, money is alright but some dealers pay better then others. Plan for now is to save up as much as possible and see where that takes me, that's going well at the moment. Not bad for the money I suppose, $1000 program and you have the potential to make $100k a year, but realistically more like $80k. Kinda shitty pay for the Bay Area but you get the picture.

i never saw your reply but yea i dont know it just slows me down enough to focus and get shit done. usually i have 5 million ideas floating around in my head and i just take off mad scientist style. since ive started smoking regularly i have kept a decent union gig 401k and possibly looking into a specialized trade field eventually.
