That music is rediculous. I used to like that music, now I can't stand it for too long. Suffocation, Obituary, etc... People think they are so hardcore because they listen to it too. I hated that (loved the music). I never looked like I listened to it. It just is so boring and repititious. I can seriously fall asleep to any death metal or black metal song now. A: you can't understand the lyrics and B: the productions sucks on most of the music so the music is so blah. So you cant listen to the lyrics and the music is all over the place on the soundstage. 800 dollar headphones still won't make it better. Cool that you like it, but I can understand why a lot of people dont.

eurospeed is right, any music can sound boring and repititious to the right ear. I can't disagree with you on the whole "badass/hardcore" thing though, I've found that the more brutal (and less god damn "hardcore") the music gets, the less showy it gets though. I sure as hell don't look like the only thing I listen to is brutal death metal, and thats fine.

The production is part of the whole deal though, how clean should the production of death metal be?
