That's because automotive photography is pretty boring no matter who is taking the photos.

Well I'm not making a fucking career out of it. I don't feel like being broke trying to sell stupid fucking pictures of random shit. Or make money shooting pictures of some wedding. That is where I want to spend my weekend - at some asshole's wedding. No thanks. I'll stick with fluid dynamics.

And btw, most of these shoots on here are good and all, but are boring. I've yet to see a striking photoshoot on this board. I mean they are all good vary to excellent, but nothing that really stands out.

To stay on topic, pay off your credit cards first. Having a fast car is fun but it will be the first thing to go when you hit rock bottom financially.

Haha, I was joking about being shy. I put the reason down why I dont have a portfolio and the photographic work I do is kinda boring really. I basically have a expensive camera and I can take really good product pictures. That's about it. I'm an engineer at heart, not a photographer. My head is full of physics and math laws and I goto sleep thinking about machinery and how it works. I think about how the bed is being held by what grade bolts when I have sex. I'm just doing it for extra money, if they don't like the pictures I take for them, they call someone else.

b saint, have you been through some sort of school or have anything other than those shots of the van, not to sound mean or harsh but to sell photography you gotta muster up something a bit more....exciting and interesting.

there is nothing to be shy about when it comes to photography, its either you push or get pushed back. you have to be bold and ready to step up when the calling is there, telling a potential prospect that you are shy...oh man migh as well tell them that you shoot with a disposable... dont take this the wrong way.

I dont keep like an online portfolio for the public. I do industrial photography and most contracts say I can't display the pictures to the public because most of the pictures include stuff not for public eyes and the companies usually have someone confirm what needs to be cropped and removed from pics so all the raws usually are in the companies hands and I dont give a fuck about whats leftover after editing.

Here is some artsy shit I dont usually do, but I love screwing with contrast and brightness.
