    this is crazy! vw plan employees only have a 28.8 hour work week, plus how many weeks of vacation per year? jesus, i'm living in the wrong country.

      In Germany I think EVERYONE is required to take 3-4 weeks vacation.

                    No, it means that germans work enough to live, were as americans focus their life around work. Its a mindset, not something to be taken litterally.

                      in a sense, us americans are materialistic and want to buy tons of shit that we really dont need so we work our asses off. nothing wrong with it really, a bit wasteful, just a different life style.
