Still, there's so much topography inside that bowl..... There would be standing water regardless. The only way I can see that working is to plexi the thing at the level of the drain cover. Maybe that's what they did?

I'm surprised what i find on the web lol. My dad bought a 51 Henry J in 1998. And sold it not to long after he bought it due to an illness he got from another Henry J he bought (mold in lungs). But i found the current owner a few months back on H.A.M.B. And today i found another picture of it in 1981 At the Car Craft Street machine Nats.
