had an opportunity to pick up one of these before. Totally regret not getting it even just to flip. Supposedly stupid rare Karmann Ghia Type 34 (euro only). Something like 2000 left in existence 500 actually known & others expected to be in ditches somewhere.
only issue that turn me away from the car was the driver rear quarter window was missing. The car had no rust & still had its original paint. Blue with yellow fogs. Sigh. I could of been a vdub guy..

Nah lol. The gas tank on the Corvair is pretty protected toward the front of the car. And out of all the older cars I've had (60's-70's) This is the best handling one and I do feel safe in it. Granted you can die in any car...
I'm wondering about those VWs posted and how they performed. Need to look them up on youtube! I really like how they look.
