NA 240=2.4L and so on, 280ZX got a turbo motor then 300ZX goes to SOHC V-6.

Z cars are my second affair.

240Z, L24 SOHC 2.4l, 140hp Inline 6. And has carburetors.

260Z, L26 SOHC 2.6l, 138hp Inline 6. And has carburetors.

280Z, L28 SOHC 2.8l, 135-145hp Inline 6. And is fuel injected.

280ZX, Came with a ^L28E^ and a L28ET SOHC 2.8l , 145-185hp Inline sixes. Is fuel injected and turbocharged.

Yes all the L series in the Z's are inline 6.

They did make some L series that are 4cyl, But they put those in 510's and 610's.
