pics from the VW show and Go-car race in NJ

so I went with my son to the Englishtown fleamarket on Sun Morning to find him a cool pedal car for our next project. On our way there I was passed by at least 15 very cool looking VWs on their way to the raceway. Needless to say our plans changed and we went to see the show !

What amazed me the most was how many good looking older V-Dubs were there. I didn't take a lot of pics of the newer cars because they don't appeal to me, but older cars were rocking ! I wish we had a show like that for the older BMWs. Imagine seeing 2002s, 320s, e30s, e12s, e28s, e34s all together ?
It's just awsome to see younger guys and girls modifying these old rust buckets !

The Go-Car event was also DOPE ! These little machines go like stink, SO FAST and the G-Forces - OMG ! FUN !

the SHOW - this got to be my favorite (check the interior) !

hmm that's different (the typical styling of those VW's)

Audi UrQ not a GT. It's a 5 cylinder turbo quattro UrQ is the first.

nice to see this cabby still around. Originally a west coast car it's gone through a lot changes.

a friend of mine bought it close to that, resprayed silver with a 16v swap and ended up swapping in a new motor after the original swapped one blew up. Went nuts with polishing, powdercoating and stainless hardware. I like the Schmidts that have been added :)
