I'm surprised it made it all the way to CNN, but we got hit with a mean earthquake this morning.
6.6 (some said 6.9, but 6.6 is what most are saying now) and it was about 3 miles away from my house.
Power was down from about dawn till lunch, lots of roads are down from falling rocks. My mom lost an entire set of porcelain christmas houses, and her mint Dale Earnhardt car collection isn't so mint anymore.
Pretty crazy, we get lots of small earthquakes around here, but nothing that big. My whole house was rocking for over a minute straight
EDIT: Oh yeah, and most importantly. Yesterday I changed my friend's brakes at my house, so I parked my car down the road at the bottom of our lot, instead of in front of the mailbox in our driveway. I got a migraine last night (No, not a headache, anyone who has real migraines knows what I mean) so I stayed home on a saturday night.
This morning when I woke up from the earthquake, I checked outide for my car. My car was fine, but up by the mailbox (where my car would have been if I went out last night) was a nice 120lb. boulder that probably would have been sitting in my engine bay this morning if it was parked down the hill.
I hope its because I'm a nice guy even though I get a lot of shit from a lot of people, yet still be nice and help out whenever possible, that karma is hooking me up. Either that or I need to move to a state with lottery tickets, cause I'm lucky.
