    Hello I just got here

Hi there, just wanted to say hi, been reading a lot of the threads, really intresting stuff, I signed up five minutes ago.

I'll keep on reading for a while, I'll get my cyl head back from the shop on thursday and start assembling my engine.

will post the results on the correct area.

            Thanks for the welcome...

Thanks for mentioning the english ;)

Thanks for the welcome in spanish :p

I'm building a 4 cyl, it's in a 316, just a standard four pot engine, great mileage but rather anemic. (nothing exiting here guys :( )

By now I bought all the new gaskests, o-rings, valve seals and dissasembled the engine, polished the valve cover, intake manifold, repainted the air cleaner, the car has to be running by next week, then I'll take it for emission testing (yeah, we do have those here )
I bought it a month ago, it overheated, it turns out the guy had run it "just adding water" and the head gasket was blown, therefore the combustion chamber in cyl Nº 2 leaked into the water passages causing a "minor trail" which will be removed by resurfacing.

needs upholstery (front seat) and MIRRORS!!!

Needs paint (around the 15th when my customers satrt paying)

I'd bet you have never seen these rims (ugh)

Gotta buy emblems, front and rear.

The good thing about the car is that its all euro.

Well, that's about it for now

              Hello Ivo316, welcome to R3V.

Odd how many things are different from your car to US spec.

You could make a killing off of those bumpers if you could find a way to get them here cheap!

                  Really ?????

Bottlecaps are hot here, everybody likes them, basketweaves were copied by a local rim maker and are everywhere and on every car.

In fact, I have my dad finding out how much it would cost to ship four wheels from the states down here.

I've seen good rims for sale in this forum, but freight is an issue, well, we'll see, because I'm also going to need a dashboard :) .
