Know that feeling - espically in a class like physics - where you don't REALLY know if you understand it till you review the exam....

Unlike political science, phych, english, art... You know you did good by how much bull shit you could spill back to the proffessor.

My advice - get lat years test - take it before hand and check your answers - Oh yea - and STUDY WITH FRIENDS IN YOUR CLASS>.....

OK, so I know you are pissed/bummed at the prof...but let me tell you something (and I mean this in a kindly, fatherly way). STFU and be grateful. You are getting an education.

I was too smart for all of that hassle. I went to work.

I am 43. I work about 70 hours a week, trying like hell to get a business off of the ground. I am in pain nearly every day. I always pop and creak. The work I love has ruined my body. The choices I made early on have ruined my life (emo sniff here, where the hell is my razor?) I was far too smart to put up with that shit in school, I dropped out 6 weeks into the 10th grade.

Actually, I was thrown out. Seriously bad history..but I won't get into that now.

Lack of "Brain power"? No. I read edlessly, I study topics which do not affect my life in any way. I am just fascinated with learning. I really do wish I had time to go to school. I just don't.

Since february 8, (the day I signed my lease) I have taken home LESS then $5000. Under poverty level, working a double week...wonder what my life would be like if I worked this hard (as I have all of my life) in a field where I could actually make a living? Yeah, I am paying off some startup debts, but all in all this is the worst paying job I have ever had. Certainly the most effort. I know at some point I will be OK, but for now it is nose to the grindstone.

Why would an education matter to me?

I want to sell Medical Equipment. I bet there is a FAT comission check after selling a CAT scan machine...lots of hard work, sure, but BIG fucking dollars. I cannot find a single rep firm that will even accept my resume without a degree. No paper, no job.

So, when you are sitting in class, unhappy about how things are going, think of me. Think of all of the poor slobs working their asses off for basically nothing. Think of the opportunities that your future has waiting for you...and all you have to do is show up and do your job.

So, rock on. I am proud to see so many members here in school, so many working intellegently for a future. Use me as an example of what NOT to do.

Sorry for ranting on your post. I guess I am feeling sorry for myself today. Sitting on an icepack so the swelling in my back will go down enough for me to work...so I can hurt myself some more.

Guys, work smarter. Get that degree, use your head. It is worth it.

I see your point here, and that is why i bust my ass at school.

I am not suggesting that i don't like school etc. or whatever... i actually think i did very well on this test but I have yet to get the results back.

My mom is a teacher and i have seen how she takes care of it... and I have other professors that do not drag ass like this. If this was a 10 page essay from 100 students i'd have more patience. The reality is, scantron isn't even done by the professor - they just have to upload the results.

Also, Luke, the fact that you speak and write the way you do reflects how well read you are. I know people who are theoretically "educated" who don't write half as well as you do when you are simply posting on r3v.
