Get a big glass.
pour another beer into it
add some tomato juice
dump some salt on top.
about 2 of those and you'll be capitalLeave a comment:

the only reason I don't do the advil/ibuprofen route is because I would assume that my liver doesn't want to help take care of that after already processing a case of beer and more over while the case of beer is primarily still in there.Leave a comment:

I find it's easier to prevent hangovers than to cure them, and the key is lots of water prior to turning in. Lots of water in the morning has rarely helped me, except for the unsettling feeling of having a whole bunch of nonalcoholic liquid sloshing around in your stomach.
I don't do any painkillers after drinking. Bad. Especially 800mg of Advil, are you kidding me? Ibuprofen causes stomach bleeding when combined with alcohol, and if you've had a shitton of alcohol, you can bet that it's still in your system.Leave a comment:

OK, I'll chime in. Being a bit older than many on the board, I have had time to experiment with quite a few of these so called remedies. First, get the fuck out of bed and out of the house. Drink water, lots of it...and coffee, drink a shit ton of coffee. Next, go out and find the greasiest most disgusting hamburger you can find. No rookie McD's of BK shit, it has to be authentic. By the time you drink the water and the coffee, get dressed and get out of the house, then go and eat up a greasy burger, you'll be feeling a million times better. It works trust me.Leave a comment:

I take 800 mg (usually 4 tablets) of Ibuprofen right before I go to bed, and next day, NO hangover at all. And I'm talking after nights when I've gotten absolutely fucking HAMMERED. Once or twice, I've passed out before I could take some, and the next day, I was wishing I was dead. But it works great for me, 800 mg of Ibuprofen (Advil works, same thing) and I'm perfect the next day.Leave a comment:

What Luke said.
This is true. Alcohol depletes your body's potassium and sugar level. That's why they say a banana and honey milkshake will help with a hangover. :)Leave a comment:

I usually try to eat drink lots of water before bed...then if i still wake up with one(like I did this morning) I take a super hot shower and try to sweat. It also helps to eat something hearty.Leave a comment:

erroneous on all accounts. your body doesn't become physically addicted to alcohol after one night of heavy drinking.More booze. A hangover is just a withdrawal from alcohol so if you ease yourself off it through out the night, starting with a shot or beer and then an hour later doing less and so on. If you just pass out and in the moring cant pound a beer or do a shot than sugar works, just not as well.
PS Ted, that lyric is Slightly Stoopid ;)Leave a comment:

After you come home in a drunken stupor, find your vitamins and down some with a bottle of water/gatorade/pedialyte no hangover, ever.Leave a comment:

Potassium and aspirin.
Eat 2 kiwi or 3 banananas and 2 aspiring before drinking. Won't kill that buzz, but will kill the morning ill.

This is absolutely true! I was given some Alka-Seltzer a couple of weeks ago and within half an hour I was feeling many times better.I'm telling you guys, believe it or not, take a two pack of Alka-Seltzer before you crash. Hangover is dead. IF, and that's only after the most hardcore drinking you can do, IF there is anything left of a hangover in the a.m., get up, drink one more two pack, lay back down for a bit, and presto, it's gone.
I am also fortunate of having a sauna in my complex. I take a 20oz of Powerade and half a gallon of water along with me. The sauna is one of the most therapeutic things I have experienced. I've been addicted for years...Leave a comment:
