    Ebay donation from auction?

My granda is looking to sell his mint condition thunderbird. Its a 66 with 1 owner with less than 40k on it, the car is super clean.

Anyways, he dosnt want the money for it he would like to donate it to charity. The problem is there isnt anything I could find more than a local auction or something, but I would really like to see this car end up in a collectors hands or someone that will apprectiate it.

I suggested maybe putting it on ebay and spreading the words over a few tbird forums or something.

Does anyone know if its possible to have ebay donate all the proceeds or something like that? I dont wanna lose money on the 15-20k it would pull in due to taxes or something.

I've seen celebrity auctions donating 100% to charity so I'm guessing it's possible. However, I would recommend placing ads srategically and selling individually so as to insure that ALL proceeds are distributed according to how your Grandpa sees fit.

      Auctions on ebay?

Yeah I was thinking about waiting until spring when there would be a big market and try posting on boards like I said to try and get the right people to bid.

All proceeds go to R3VLIMITED.com? I think it would sell well that way. :D

Seriously though, I would just have him sell it on his own and give the money to whatever charity he sees fit.

Just sell it and donate, I don't see what the issue is. If it's as 'super clean' as you say it is, you won't have a problem flipping it.

last time I listed something on ebay there was a give to charity checkbox in the seller page somewhere, just checked, look under where you list starting price, theres a dropdown of non profits, and you specify what percentage goes to the charity.

66 t-bird mint with only 44k miles and 1 owner = 15-20K? Is he planning on giving it away! Hell that is a 30-45K car if it is as good as you say. Have seen them go for more at the auborn classic auction a few years ago.
