I side with Josh on this, and he and I have never even met - so it isn't like I just patently have his back. Here's why I take Josh's side, if it even matters.
1.) The difference between fleabay and any non-auction site is that there is a defined close to an auction, not so with any other format. And if you want to post a pic from an auction, you can, just not a live link. But in all fairness Blunt - even you know without the above explaination that this isn't a 'consistency' issue - don't play dumb and I won't insult your intelligence - I think we both know without the above explanation that there is a difference. Just no direct links is what I understand the rule to be. So if a guy wanted to post a pic from an auction to poke fun at, it would be all good and within the rules dictated by the owners of R3v.
2.) Josh is a co-owner here - heck, he could do anything he wants since it's his website. What more is there to say about that - his site, his rules. Go play somewhere else if you don't like it.
Blunt, I like a lot of your jokes and stuff, so it would be a real loss if you got overly pissed over something like this and left. But we all know the rules, and if you really aren't into playing by them you are free to set up your own site & pay for the bandwidth, and I bet a lot of us would come hang out, but do you think it's really worth being lame over a dumb live link to an ebay auction that with a little extra effort it is completely possible to follow the rules and still have fun? It ain't a cross I'd want to hang on.
Bury the hatchet already.
