Final On Monday!!!!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that I take my very last Final on Monday! For those of you who are religious, pray for me. Those of you not religious, cross your fingers for me or rub a lucky rabbit's foot or burn some incense or something...whatever it is you do.

Assuming I pass that bad boy, I will then have to write state boards, and assuming I pass THAT one, I will be, officially, a Registered Nurse. I already have a job in the E.R. at our local hospital, so that's good. All I've got to do now is just pass these last two tests.

So hopefully you guys will be pulling for me. Yay.

Good luck man, I was done this last thursday and it felt great, although not as much pressure as in you situation.

You shouldn't sell you e30 but if you do I am still in college, Christmas gift maybe?

I certainly hope so. I will be working the E.R. for a year or so, then possibly consider the ICU/CCU. There's the possibility that I'll go on to anesthesia school for C.R.N.A. THAT's where mucho dinero is made. We'll see. This profession is SO wide open I'll just have to take it as it comes. Travel nursing is great money, AND the benefit of the travel itself (Hawaii comes to mind!). Flight nurses are pretty cool, helicopter (life-flight) OR cross-country (airliners) do pretty well from what I understand. Who knows? Right now, I just am ready to go back to work full-time and reap the rewards for the work put in the last two years.

I'm crosstraining in to the medical field either when my commissioning package is approved or if my crosstraining window opens, whichever comes first. Also, my sister finished her Masters last year so I've got a Nurse Practitioner to help me out.

What's the salary for an RN out there? There is such a shortage for them in Oregon that local generally start you around $65k per year right out of school... not to mention the signing bonus.
