    When I'm a Father

I'm going to put a poster of Lenin on the wall of my study, so my kids know who they are dealing with.

No video games, no cheez whiz, no pop tarts, no lucky charms.

maybe on the rarest of occasions, on a really rainy day i'd break out the video games to have some fun, but I am disgusted in the youth and their parents of this generation who let them play hours of video games a day after they get home from school.

      Darth Vader school of parenting.

Remember the scene in the original SW where Darth is walking around the table and some low-life General is giving him shit about "the Force"? Darth crushes his throat with his mind...leaves a lasting impression on the other guys at the table.

Well, that is how I manage my kids. Ask anyone who knows me. I am the boss. My kids love me and only talk a little shit about me. Otherwise, I crush their skulls.

      Luke

I believe in raising your kids very lax, I mean whats gonna happen? The same that happened with me? In that case, they will grow up to have a successful military career, hold excellant sales jobs before starting their own company, never have a criminal record, oh, and also manage to end up a health fanatic too.

To each his own, but my parents were ruled with an iron fist, and raised myself completly different.

Well, I'm the boss with mine, he wears his pants where they are supposed to be, no earrings, no tatoos, short hair, and entering college at 18 (engeneering), has not failed a single course in high school.
I am the boss because I know better, and he knows it, I made lots of mistakes and he has seen the cost of them (unemployment, low wages), so he listens to me.

I think it's a case of "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence". What I mean is that the people who were raised by very strict parents seem to make a special effort to NOT be so strict, while those who were allowed to do whatever they wanted while growing up are generally much more strict than their parents.

I plan to be pretty strict with my son (now 4) simply because I want him to grow up to be a useful human being and not a drag on or menace to society. I'm not too concerned over his choice in career right now, as long as he makes an honest living and has a happy life.

                    Sounds cheesy, but it's true.

If he becomes a total fuckup, I'll be the poster parent for Tough Love until he gets his shit straight.

Do you think that many people on their deathbed wish that they had spent more time at work and away from their family?

I see nothing wrong with dressing how they wish, it's their form of self expression and tells alot about them. My clothing reflects who i am as a person and always has, i'm thankful my parents never regulated how i dressed. I love my mother for being my friend as well as my parent which is why i'm 21 and still living with her, helping her with yard work, sharing laughs and a few drinks and out of this, she provides me with a free home. My dad tried controlling my clothing and the cock sucker threw me when he saw i dyed my hair, i know he meant well, but i just have no interest in even seeing him. I've seen alot of overprotective parents raise their kids with bad results, my mom's ex husband's kid is a perfect example. Her mom raised her very conservative, told her how to dress, made her go to catholic school, sheltered her from everything, when she turned 18, she got pregnant and snorts cocaine, the worst part about it to her racist ass parents is that she's pregnant by a black man.

I feel parents need to raise their kids with limits of course, but let them be who they are as a kid to get it out of them, let their clothing fads come and go, piercings, whatever, i'd draw the line at tattoos as that will effect them as adults. Let them have their video games, their poptarts, whatever, those are things kids love, i see absolutely no reason to take that from them, a childs mind is at it's peak for creativity, learning, and imagination, why take away a kids imagination by taking away their TV and video games?

I kind of feel i'm the person i am today with no criminal record and a decent citizen (good morals) because as a kid, my mother was leanient on her control of me, i'd be out late, be gone for a few days at a time. Yes, i did get myself in to trouble, i found out at a young age the consequeces to such actions rather than being sheltered from it and my mother did put her foot down when i did get myself in to trouble. The consequeces are much less severe as a kid, but enough that the trouble i did get in to, i never wanted to do it again when i was caught. I can't imagine doing anything like that as an adult because the punishment is much more severe. I wouldn't take back any of my childhood though, i love looking back on the great times i had because of the freedom i had.

I grew up with kids from both sides, the trouble makers and the sheltered kids, in the end, when they turned 18, they turned in to the people they were, some of the trouble makers are still trouble makers and snorting meth, others are like me and vice versa for the sheltered kids. My point is, i'm glad at a young age i could see what it was like being a trouble maker, hanging out with the dope heads, hanging out with the thieves to learn that's not what i want to be in life.

I hate parents like you, the young years of life are what i cherish, i couldn't imagine that being taken away from me and i'm very thankful they weren't.

                      Fuck you dude, fuck you.

Bet your kid will be glad when he goes to college...get his ass out of the concentration camp.

This is coming from a kid who didn't have a Nazi for a parent, was allowed to wear his pants and hair how he wanted, and still managed to never fail a class in high school nor college(engineering).

Just wait until you're too old to take care of yourself...lighten up boss.
