    money in the bank!

    well...in a few hours.

dude is driving up to take my complete 50k mile 5.9L mopar magnum longblock off my hands for $700...meh, thats $150 off what i asked, and $300 less than a junkyard, but it needs a new timing chain cover and oil pan. the guy has a 5.2 he's swapping it from so the parts will bolt on, works great for both of us.

time for some new E30 stuff to get my bucket cornering.

I just sold my tires for $130 yesterday. Now I can buy more shit too. Hope he buys it and doesn't flake on you.

he already tried, he started "him-hawing" on the phone about well maybe it wouldnt work since his is a 5.2 and this is a 5.9...i stopped him and said IT WILL work...here are the parts you need. i also happen to have a really nice torque converter for sale too, but he's a cheapskate so he doesnt want that one and is going to get a cheap used one somewhere.

he needs like 2 extra parts to put it in his jeep, a $60 motor mount, and any used torque converter from a 96-98 v8 jeep, about $100-$150 at a junkyard. he says to me "man that is going to be like $1000, let me check with the wife, its her jeep"

soooo, he calls back and says "she says go for it, its been sitting for two years..."

he's gonna like it, it will be a good step up for him and should last a long time.

I've already scheduled to have my uncle home when the guy comes up, hopefully he doesnt show up in a Caravan or something and want us to put the engine in there, it would fit i guess though.

He'll be happy with that 5.9L instead of that 5.2L. I had a 88 dakota and put a 5.2L magnum in it out of a 93 dakota in it. After i got it all done, i kind of wished that i stuck a 5.9L magnum in it. But i had the 318 just sitting there so i used it. If he needs a oil pan, he'll find out that the 318 pan will not work on the 360. Plus 96 and back the torque converters are different between the 318 and 360's.
