    Movie warning.....

    "The good Shepherd"....

    Wow....slow and boring...in my opinion. Intresting story but not worth the the 3 hours and slowness.
    If you like slower drama types you might like this but it has not one ounce of action...and I'm not kidding.
    Just a heads up.

    I'm going to go see it because I love spy and espionage movies, and for Matt Damon and DeNiro, of course. I know there's not much action, but that's not why I think it looks good. If you were expecting action, I can see why you'd think it was boring.

      Then you will probably like it. The story I thought was pretty good but for having no action and being long, those were it's biggest downfalls I thought.

            no, no skin. But she looks god damn gorgeous.

            And I agree with the OP. I wasn't looking for an action film, but I would have liked something other than the complexity of the plot to keep me awake. And don't get excited about Deniero. He's probably in about 1 minute of the movie. He directed it, so I guess he had to get some face time too.

            I am a huge fam of spy movies as well, but seriously just wait until it's out on DVD.

            Maybe it's because I went to see it expecting the film of the year. Blood Diamond was 10x better.

              Looks awesome, and DiCaprio is actually starting to grow on me, but I can't stomach that accent. My wife said it's South African, but it still sounds goofy.

                One of the best movies I've seen in a while. A little long in some parts, and very intense and sad, but very well done. It's kind of a shame that its showings have been pretty limited. And, it doesn't get too caught up in a political agenda, which is a huge relief to me, given media as of late.

                  yeah, I can see how the accent would annoy. But my rugby coach in high school was South African, so I'm used to the accent. It was quite funny listening to him talk, especially when he was mad.
