I with giving him for the better of our military or even someone elses military. Have fun with him...like a rag doll. I don't give a shit that he did someone else wrong, he fucked up (a lot) and should be fucked up himself. OR....I think for every person he "killed" he gets cut with an rusty exacto knife. Shit, just look at the Saw movies and pick one that you want to see on TV.

I have to make a deeper response to this statement that I have made in response to another comment.
I don't care if you are white, purple, black, striped, whatever.
The man did humanity/society wrong. He killed his own people. He has been a part of many beyond bad things that have happened to that part of the world and the world community. As a world populus, we should be glad to be rid of a person who had these evil things as his goals.
My statement as to the "white man" being all butt-hurt over this situation with Saddam is in response to Pasha. I assume that he is not taking it out on "white people", but maybe he is - though I don't think so.
It is a sensitive topic in regard to race regardless of what the discussion is. I'm a white guy, and thus I apparently have no room to speak on anything that has to do with anything that is even fairly benign in racial connotation. That's fine.
I just think that to single out "white people" as being the group that gets it's jollies off on saddam being executed is a bit fucked up. I, as an individual, could really give a shit if Saddam lives or dies. It will have absolutely zero affect on my life. At the same time, I feel frustration at the concept of people being killed in this world for no reason other than their beliefs, or thoughts, or opinions that may be divergent from someone elses. End of the day, it is the fact that people have been denied freedoms in their life and the ability to simply live as human beings that makes me want Saddam to be dead. It has nothing to do with what he has or has not done to the U.S., or the fac that I'm a white guy. He got what he deserved. Period.PNW Crew

Being white is a state of mine, yes. Many whites (lots of Americans) don't give a second thought to how their actions effect the rest of the world. Polluting the air, buying goods made by children in Southeast Asia, world policing, etc... But being anything is a state of mine. I don't think Al Qaida thinks about the effect of crashing into a builing, killing Ron, effectivly leaving Jimmy without a father and commiting suicide 10 years later because he didn't have a father figure throug his adolecent years. It's natural for people or groups to think of themselves first, and sometimes others get ignored. Everyone does it.
And when the media decides to show something terrible happening in the world in between the weather and sports segments, and people start paying attention and caring, what's wrong with supporting justice even though it didn't directly harm us?
Just because the general American public is stuck in their protective cocoons doesn't mean they don't care. It's kind of hard to learn about world affairs when you have to dig for it. Look at the genocide in the Dafur region of Sudan that is happening right now. Can anyone here explain the situation without going to Wikipedia? Neither can I.

Not to draw you back in Josh, but I have been wondering what's the deal with Osama lately myself.
I said it in a previous thread somewhere, and I certainly hope it doesn't happen, but if Bush "finds" Osama just in time for the Presidential election....
I mean, come on, a tall guy in a generally shorter stature population, with kidney problems, needing medecation, possibly kidney dialysis - how is it so hard to find the prick?
If someone here really understands the reason for the answer to my question, please answer. I have never been to the Middle East, and those who have might really be able to answer this.
It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.Comment

yes. a couple big things pop into my mind. going over to Europe in WWI. whether or not we did it for "selfish" reasons doesn't matter. Hell, we just went in there to join the party. we didn't put any forethought into sending kids my age and younger over there to die. we just wanted them to see the country side.
Oh yea, and then there's WWII. we went over there to kill some krauts. we had now idea we would save a few million jews in the process. fuck, damn why'd we have to run into these camps in the process of killing some germans. we should have thought about that before we went over there. its too bad the "WHITE MAN" is in control.Originally posted by Hawt drift chickYeah, i'm a good dude i swear, i just like to be balls to the wall.Comment

The "Deal" is that he's already dead. I just think it's hard for them to make a 100% confirmation of it. This guy was putting out videos every other week leading up to 9/11, and in the following weeks. After the assault on Afghanistan and Tora Bora, the videos stopped. Now, in the last five years, all we've gotten are two or three horrible quality audio tapes "allegedly" from Bin Laden, and some of the lower level Al Queda guys talking. The only guy that has made any actual mention of current events has been Al-Zawhari.Not to draw you back in Josh, but I have been wondering what's the deal with Osama lately myself.

If, for some reason he's still alive, and I sincerely doubt it, you have to figure that he'd still be in the Afghan/Pakistan mountain ranges, amongst a population that does not like or support the US, and that has no desire to see him leave or be capture. It's pretty easy to hide someone in a remote area when we can't go in.
