    Teh "Happy New Year!" thread.

So yeah - Happy New Year '07!

If you had a crappy '06 - give the short version.

If you kicked a$$ - same thing.

    I'll start.

High point - Finished getting all my Sport Evo panels. Just need to get the seats recovered. Nearly done with my S52 swap.

Low point - Blew a disc in my back, still need surgery. Have to take this year off from snowboarding. Only riding my quad around the block since I dicked my back.

All in all, it's all good.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

    Ok lets see here.

    The good-

Got a good job at a BMW dealer. Found my current e30 that I am in the middle of restoring. I did not fuck anything up too bad in 06, so that was a good thing.

    The bad-

Not too much right now. I still have 2 1/2 hours to do something bad. One bad thing I guess is that I rear ended someone but it was only a 2 MPH hit and no damage happened so no insurance was involved and the guy was cool about it. Thats pretty much it. My life is dull and boring:(

    Happy New Year.

I'm here at home, sipping on some Woodford Reserve and playing Wii with the wife and kids. Wouldn't trade it for anything else. Having fun.

          High point: graduating nursing school!

I look forward to 2007 and a financial stability that I've never really known (on my own), and the possibilities that my new-found career will afford me and my family. Yay. I thank God for all the Grace he's extended to me and my family and I hope and pray that he will continue to do so.

Highs: Went to Germany, had good academic semesters.

Lows: Car sat for 9 months out of '06.

I just recently got word of a potential sponsorship, so '07 is promising. That goal of participating in a sport and having the financial backup to self sustain that sport is slowly coming closer to reality.

High: Got huge support from local independant musicians after incedent with former band; made a small fortune at "real" job, all of which went into the e30; Spent enough time and money on the e30 my mechanic now does stuff for free and pays me to work for him part time; got mono and didn't have to do anything for three months, doctors orders.

Hello 2007! This will be the year that my car sees the track for the first time! I can't wait...

                        2006:

Lows: Put my beloved cat, Sasquatch, to sleep. Worked like a fucking fiend to make less than $8,000 for the entire year. Got fatter, lost more hair, pool game got worse. My daughter moved in with her loser boyfriend, and is supporting him. Went through 2 office help employees, one of which basically stole $3500 and pissed off several customers.

Started smoking cigarettes again after 8 1/2 years.

Highs: Got a new kitten, Seemee, (nothing like Squatch, except has 28 toes) paid off a couple of debts, finally got my shop off the ground. Got the E30 buffed, made HUGE improvements on the body, did a bunch of suspension work, more new tires, got a start on Nigels car, had a teriffic year building my business. Finally got one half of my child support hassles stabilized (still have to deal with San Diego County nightmare) Won several local pool tournaments, got on 2 different teams which I like far better than last years.

Celebrated 9 years sober. Actually, of all that shit both good and bad, that is all that really matters.

                        Seasoned Greasings,
                        Happy new year,
                        Luke

High point: Did nothing for three months in Fort LAuderdale, and got paid to be there. No STDs < not from lack of trying!>. Good Deals: Bought a $1200Laptop for $450, car, roof rack a $4000 road bike for $1100, $1000 MTB for $100, sold free stuff for good money<- buyer got a great deal too!, floored my dad and mom with their Christmas gift (Mom got Pearl earrings, I got dad a full set of Matco screw drivers - if you know the name you know why he was excited!)

Only broke a couple hearts, kept mine intact, got out of going to jail for speeding,

Good health, <started riding at least 100 hard miles a week, waiting for warmer weather!!!!!
Too much to be thankful for to keep listing!

                              Bad:
Lowered the Benz too much and messed up the fender. Had to rebuild head. Bought a Benz...

Made the girl of my dreams not like me anymore, and stopped caring.
                              Never can sleep.
Had to borrow some money to fix teh benzo:(. Looking for a better job for this year.

mom filled bankruptcy that will never help her real issue.

My 86 year old Great Grandpa missed his 87th birthday by two months. Love you pops!!!!!

All and all 2006 was good. Learned a lot about me, and others around me.

By mistakes of '06, Hello lessons of a NEW YEAR!
