PS - Grey Goose is overrated as well.
yea it is overpriced, but it is easy to find everywhere. ireally need to restock my liquor now that i don't have an alcoholic roomate to drink my good booze and tempt me to put a bullet in his head while he sleeps.
    that doesn't matter anymore....why??? because i bought a house for x-mas!!!!!
i'll have to drive over to the sportsman and look for some good gin.

it is funny you say that about gray goose, while it is a good vodka...not great. most people just order it to have people see them order it. kinda like ordering hennesy. if you liked coniac you wouldn't mix it with coke or anything else for that matter!!!! we ran out of goose at the last bar i worked at and refilled the bottle with well. funny how you can't tell the difference when you mix it with cranberry

love gin! i'm gonna try to find that!
also manhattans= burbon(good not cheap!), sweet vermouth, bitters (sometimes), and a cherry, served in a martini glass. if anyone gives you shit about the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles drink with the cherry in it, let 'em taste it and watch them choak and gag!
and rob roys= same as manhattans, just replace the burbon with a (at least ) 18 year old scotch single malt
or my favorite! glennmorange (sp) 18 year old sherry cask, in a lowball glass with one ice cube.

Svedka ftw. It beat out grey goose is a blind taste test.... (boy was that a fun night!!!)

GG has been marketed well... even finiancially troubled people think they are cool when they drink some. Yeah, congrats, you have had $25 to spare at some point - you're awesome. maybe it's the rap: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=17112545

Sure, if you are a fan, enjoy... but douchebags and poseurs annoy me. Svedka is a little known secret which I like better but only costs $12/fifth. Then again, Dark Eyes will rock your world for $10/handle.

alcohol turns into sugar in your system. Thats where the calories (empty) lie. Plus a Long Island has the mixers that have tons of calories. Usually mixed drinks have tons of calories due to their mixers. Pretty much anything about alcohol I know.

You know a long island has ~800 calories? I guess the alcohol contributes calories somehow. No idea how that works though.

Ya ya ya ya ya, I know how dope the PNW is supposed to be for microbrews. If you got a big ole glass of some carb laden beer (dependent on what style), you'd probably get around 300 calories or so.

Regular beer is much different than the holy water we have here. :D

Plus the Gin/tonics typically are not high in tonic... lol

Gin and grapefruit and gin and tonic both have the same calories as a regular beer. A gin and tonic has around 180 calories. If you want to limit caloric intake, you should try drinking stuff neat or on the rocks, or with diet soda (:().
