Being a good person is all relative. People who don't use drugs could be complete assholes and pieces of shit that shouldn't waste another breath, whereas its also JUST as possible for people who are "evil" or "bad" or whatever, stoners, misfits according to others, but be the nicest people in the world, and be good to others. That's certainly a step in the right direction in being a good person. I don't care what they do, if they're not a dick, or arrogant, or whatever, they're a good person. Of course like I said, its all relative. It depends who is judging, whether its you, me, them, or anybody else. People can be good AND bad, depending who you talk to. Its your opinion, but it doesn't make them not a good person. The comment about spirituality and drug use is also pretty funny. It doesnt mean people are not spiritual if they use drugs, give me a break. Many people are more in touch spiritually as far as I am concerned, once they use some shit and "see" beyond whatever is limiting us in our locked state of mind. Funny I thought of a newer Verizon phone, with all of its locked out features and disabled functions. Its a POS unless you spend all sorts of money, or hack it.

A good person is relative only to a point. Laws and customs are what start the defining a "good" person. Honest, hard working, would go out of his way for others, considerate, doesn't cheat others etc. All of the above would be considered a "good" person.

I never said HE was a good person. I dont even really care what he believes. He's kind of annoying, but whatever. The human race if you really do thinka bout it is kind of like a fungus though. If you think about it, whether we evolved or were created, one way or another we've spread ourselves to every corner of the globe. We want to set up a colony on the moon. What the hell? We explore other planets. Of course its because we have curiousity, but that is also our natural desire to expand and see more places. Thats how we see it. How does earth see it? We're crippling it. We're damn smart, but we thrive to expand and grow, and no matter what happens, or what we do to keep the impact small, there still will be, and we'll still be growing.
A good person, granted, of course would be all of those things. Possibly more, who knows, but you don't need to be ALL of them to be a good person. However, if you do believe all humans are trash and garbage, sure, I'd personally bin you too. That means trash. All humans are garbage? Ok, you are too. I was referring to anybody that might do stupid things, whether they're stupid or not still is up for debate depending who you ask, doesnt mean theyre automatically bad. Thats all.
By the way, I don't do that shit, or believe really in it anyway. I was playing devils advocate. I really am not concerned either way WHAT we are, we're humans, and we're here. Not mars, not pluto, not the moon, here.Comment

I've heard about the DMT discussion, but never actually heard it (I will in about 20 minutes and I shower and such) but I've heard Joe say some deep shit. He loves his drugs though, and I aint bashing him on it. I guess I'll have more to say about it after I watch the video.

Wow. Crazy shit. Well I guess I don't think of people as bacteria, we as a species are pretty much horrible highly evolved things that are way out of balance in terms of the rest of nature. The earth is seriously getting hammered pretty quickly here and I say its falling apart. Bigger storms, bigger earthquakes, bigger tsunamis, colder winters, hotter summers, etc. are all things happening more and more often. Every single thing has its own genetic signal, just as Joe said, that says keep on living, and keep on making babies. While the earth probably won't spit out another planet, it will outlast us.
I really don't have faith in people as a whole (the stupid outnumber the smart ones by way too much) but that's just me.
Second consciousness: I've always wondered the exact same thing. I haven't tried any psychedelics, but I have passed out for numerous reasons. It's like a dream, but since usually you wake up quickly from it, and remember what just happened.
Ever watched a ufc fight and after a guy gets knocked out, he comes up swinging? At the instant you get knocked out, your body drops, but your mind can play out a different story. A lot of times it feels like a hit, and then you keep fighting. It could go on for a minute, or 5 more rounds, you could even win, go out to the bar, go to your hotel room, tap some chick, go to sleep and wake up in the ring. Whatever your mind plays out, thats the story. As soon as you click back into reality your mind will condense that minute, day, or week, into that 1 minute you slept on the ground.
Maybe there really is a whole different reality that condenses our ~16 hour day into a nights sleep and we go on with a whole different life (hell a whole different being, anything and everything could be different) throughout that day. Maybe the matrix is true.
Who the hell really knows? I say live each and every life as best and happy as you can, that way you don't lose out on either one.
On the subject of good people: I smoke weed everyday, used to drink lots of alcohol (staying healthy now so not so much beer anymore), I've been know to crack a few heads when people start talking shit, and I like to make fun of people (like friends, not pick on a random stranger) and swear just like everyone else. I don't go to church, I don't contribute to charities, hell I didn't even vote in the last election.
I've never hit someone who wasn't a complete asshole, I've never stolen ANYTHING in my life, I always do as much as a can to help the people who need it, I'm respectful, I always show up at work and give it my all, and every single person you ask about me will tell you I'm a nice guy.
