    Scion..

It's one of the new raves and all that.

Their target is sooo obviously the young tuner crowd. Then too all marques have a image. Just that Scion's website is more than obvious

    example: http://www.scion.com/showroom/popups/tctorque_demo.html

Discuss if you care to. Should be interesting :D

i can't see the site on this junky work computer... but i will say this. when the e30 was down for a tbelt job, and again later for a clutch, i rented scions. first an xB... while slow and creepy looking, its was Super useful - tons of headroom, you can pack it full of people and stuff, and easy on gas.

I later rented a tC (auto unfortunately) which was, honestly, kinda fun - it had enough power to get out of its own way, and handled pretty good for a non-sport-tuned front driver. It also was great on gas; i beat on it for 3 days straight and got 30mpg. Build quality on both cars seemed pretty top notch, too.

I don't care at all for the "image" thing they have going on, but they are building decent daily-driver type cars at a low price point.

Irregardless of a lower-pricing strategy ,I can imagine the build-quality to be good (haven't driven in one myself yet..) since thay are essentially Toyota's

Torque in an Xb? I don't think so. My brother-in-law's GF has one, that thing is gutless as fuck. It's a 1.3L 4 banger. What was it racing, a Geo Metro?

I wouldn't ever buy one but I think it was a great idea for them to target that tuner demographic, perrfect for trendy lower price range cars. I read somewhere that the tC was literally designed to look like a mini 6er.

I actually love driving her xB. It's not too fast off the line (automatic ), but at highway speed with the OD off, it's pretty quick. For a 1.5l, I'm surprised how well it does. It will break the tires loose in the wet from a stop. And that with an automatic.

The other day, a xB pulled up next to me while I was waiting at the light. He was in the right turn lane. He stop, and then lit the tire up taking off around the corner. I am assuming it was either turbo or supercharged, but damn. Was cool to see. This was in the dry by the way.

Looks like an Eagle Summit/Mitsubishi Mirage to me.

                            (incase that picture doesn't work)

tC's aint bad, if I had a xB It would only to be a soundoff car or something with crazy sounds.
