I was just going to post a thread to show off my new jack, but I guess I'll just do it here!
Just got this bad boy today at Costco. 2-ton aluminum race jack, for $99. It's pretty low-profile, especially in the front. It's dual return spring, and it's VERY smooth. It's only 4 pumps to full height, and it goes fucking HIGH. With one pump, it was up too high to go under the diff. And in spots where you can only move the lever up and down in tiny little increments, the saddle still rises about 1" with each pump. The second pic below is about 1 pump. It's a 1/2 ton more capacity than the Craftsman jack, and it's $20 less. And this one is also pretty light. If you have a Costco near you, go check and see if they have this jack in stock. I was going to wait until next week to bo buy it, but with the way Costco stock is, it probably would have been gone, and the last time they had it was like 8 months ago.
Best automotive investment yet. It lifts up to 48"(my ceilings not that high but in the driveway I can). Runs on 110 right off a wall socket. Well built, sturdy I dont know how I lived with out it. Me and my freinds bought 3 of them so we got them for $1000 a peice. My 2nd e30 sat on it for 6 months when I did all my bushings and arms.
But back on topic you can see I have the Craftsman jack. Works fine.
