    Damn AutoCADD 2007

after spending 4 hours installing this newer version of acad 2004 i finally got to tinker around with this shit. it has a few new things, but the biggest one is probably the table which will et us do the equations we usually have to do in microsoft excel in AutoCADD. pretty sweet. anyone else work in AutoCADD at their job? if so you have any secrets or cool tricks you learned from friends or other employees and such?

I use AutoCAD every day at my job. We're running 2006 and are getting ready to upgrade to 2007. I'm pretty good at it, but our resident CAD guru is the one who really knows the program inside and out.

I used to working in nothing but AutoCAD at my last job (Architectural Drafting). We used 2000 and still didn't use all of the features and tools. In what I know (which is quite a bit, but there is SO much with AutoCAD), I would consider myself an expert. Been using autocad since freshman year of high school and I willb e turning 19 this February.

Haven't tried 2007 Yet. I have 2006 at home that I use. I heard 2007 has some really cool 3D stuff now. ABout time they changed that. Every other version was TERIBLE. Although, inventor isn't much better.

Ever use CATIA? I've heard it pretty crazy. I do know that Boeing uses it however to run full diagnostic models of all their airplanes and analyze stress areas.

nah i have never used CATIA. though i have heard some crazy things from my boss. i work with electrical engineering so we have site plans for wastewater/water jobs and open area and street lighting jobs. so the 3d feature isnt on my agenda everyday, but i did tinker with it today. i love how in modelspace when you zoom extents it zooms in all cool like.

i have been on autocadd since i turned 15 and i just turned 18 on the first. so i am pretty good. i will say one thing though, i fucking hate OSNAPS.....

Why? Without them, drawing would be impossible. What don't you like about them?
