i work for an electrical engineering firm, but i am an electrical designer. we work closely with civil engineers though.

oh and NitroRustlerDriver i dont use them because i used to select the wrong point all the time and i got pissed at doing that. so i used 'mbuttonpan' and changed that to 1 or 0 i cant remember and i use the center button on my mouse to select the osnap menu and use 'e' for endpoint and such. this way only a certain point is selected and i dont select nearest instead of a midpoint. thats why

I HATE SolidWorks. The user interface is terrible and the program is WAY over complicated.

I have used autocad, rhino (garbage) and catia. We use catia and pro-e here at school. I really like catia. It has so many features that you could never know everything. I designed my e30 keychain in catia.
