In no way, no matter how far reaching, does this resemble a monarchy. It cant when the parties in mention........... with no absoloute power.

There are monarchs who have absolute power and constitutional monarchy's where the monarchy is a hereditary but largely ceremonial institution. Very few present day monarchs have anything near absolute power. A good thing considering most of them are pretty dim bulbs. Maybe dynasty is a better description of the US's incestuous politics.
And since when do words have to mean what they did in the past? How about diva, smack, gay, etc.

yeah, except you didn't highlight the most important part of the definition. a monarchy is a one-party government, which is goverened by one person (the monarch). The fact that the monarch is usually of the same bloodline has nothing to do with the structure of the government (the monarchy).
