My wife started our Paypal account about 4-5 years ago, and since then, she doesn't even use it. I'm the only one that does, and everytime I have to call them up for one reason or another, they won't even talk to me unless I have her call and verify the account, and everything I pay for comes addressed to her, it's just a pain in the ass. I want to change it to my name, but as I said before, they won't even talk to me on the phone. Do I have to get her to actually call and do it?

If you want to get anything done with Paypal, you have to call them- and even then you often have to ask for a supervisor because many (but not all) of the CS reps don't know shit about Paypal policies and procedures.
If they can't do it over the phone, you may have to just open up a new account- it's not a big deal, you will need to link it to a different bank account or Credit card than the one you use now on "her" account.

Seriously, so what if you have to wait 90 days or whatever they make you do??
Just use the debit card you have on "her" account until the other one is available. You can open the new account, get it running and still receive enough payments to the old account to fund the paypal card.
Like I said, best bet is to call Paypal and see what they can do for you- just explain the situation and see what they can recommend.

I tried in 2003 and customer service refused to change the name. After paypal was purchased in (2005 I think?), I tried again and was met with the same response....
If someone gets it done, please let me know. Customer service told me both times that I need to close the account and open another in my name.
