    Any camera experts?

    Well been contemplating getting a new camera. Right now I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W7 7.2MP camera. Its good but I really enjoy taking pics especially of scenery. Looking for a SLR camera that will take some good pics but not break the bank. I'm just a begginer with photography. I just want to have a nicer came to take lots of great pics.

    Any suguestions?

      slr or dslr? i'm assuming dslr. what do you consider breaking the bank, because for ~600 dollars, you can have a really nice dslr, or for around 300, you can have an entry level.

          Yea i was assuming we were just talking about digital so yes DSLR, $600 sounds good. I'de pay anywhere from 400-800ish

              spend all your money on lenses. there's no point in having a shitty lens with a killer body

                  Buy a Canon Digi. Rebel XT for like $5-600 and spend the rest on a lens and a bigger cf card...Or do the same but with a Nikon D50..not sure what they go for though.

                      Buy a Rebel XT or for a bit more you can get the 400D/Rebel XTi. Either one is plenty of camera if you're new to SLR's. I used to use a 300D (normal Rebel) in my photo class before I got my 30D and it was fine, so the Rebel XT/i will be a fine camera. And that I mention it the picture in my signature was taken with that 300D..
