I just think the commercials make it look like you get to be some superhuman gun-slingin' badass by joining the army. No, I have a full Honorable discharge from the US Army...I am not inactive Reserves, or anything else, etc. I am not affliated with them at all, other than I used to be in the Army. I cannot be recalled to duty, unless a draft was reinstitued, and in that case I was be as fair game as anyone else LOL.

But, yes, we are pissing the whole world off. Part of the reason I got out was not that I didnt like it, it was that I got very aggravated at the politics and such that went along with it....I eventually said Fuck it, more or less.

Well, now seriously, the US army has done a great job around the world, their intervention (or presence) has been necessary all over the globe, remember WWII and the cold war.

Don't get political about this, a cop is needed in the world, since the UN forces don't do their job.

I still think that a multinational force would be better, in that way not just US kids would be killed in those wars, but unfortunately all the other "allies" tend to chicken out after a few weeks.

to us, politics are nothing, only stupid decisions, we see it as, get out there get back safe and live to do it another day.
