Reno, NV is a total sh*t hole

Just thought I'd let you guys all know that.

I just drove down there on Saturday with my brother in law to drop of my father in law's old truck to another family member who bought it, so we drove down and hung out for the day, dropped off the truck today, and I just got home a few hours ago. The only nice looking thing there is the casinos, the rest of the town is fucking disgusting. Drunks and tweakers everywhere, everything is dirty and run down, dealers on every corner, just awful. But it makes sense, the casinos are what make all the money, they don't care about the rest of the city looking nice.

The plus side? The Namco drifting game in the arcade in Circus Circus, and the go-kart track we found with the slick oval track. We were drifitng go-karts like mad, it was way fun. That, and driving Andrew's super-fast RC car on the top level of the CC parking garage. Oh, and eating at In-N-Out.

There weren't even hot girls walking around in any of the casinos. Just a bunch of degerate gamblers and mommy and daddy dropping the house payment and junior's college fund on the poker slots. It was actually really depressing. There was even video poker and slots in the grocery stores and in 7-11.

Yeah, Reno is a fucking slum. Off strip Vegas is pretty depressing too when you really get down to it.

what do you expect, LV is in the same state as Reno, wtf wants to go to the "biggest little city"... i live 3.5hours from reno without traffic, but i never make it past tahoe.

hah, while I've never actually stopped there I've heard the same shit. Whenever I "go" there, I drive straight through to Fernley to go racing. By the sounds of it, its nicer with its couple or few stop lights (big timing it), and always seems to have a couple chickies in the hardware store :P! Thanks for reminding me Reno sucks ..lol

It took me a second to remember Reno 911, at first I thought you meant our resident trashstashe man himself, Mr. Deagle. In fact, that will be how I refer to that guy from now on.

There are some good areas down there , mostly like 15 min from downtown. My brother lives down there. Dont be fooled, there is a lot of money to be made down there. His two stores make him well over 200k a year in that town. Everyone from tahoe comes down to the closest shopping malls they can get to.

funnily enough, many scenes are filmed in L.A. You can tell by our telltale old school dark blue street signs in L.A. city.
