prob because he is old like me. i was on track to do the same thing at 21. thank god i didn't! too many adventures/misadventures to be had at that young of an age. most marriges last 3-5 years anymore anyways. why bother and suffer the $ damages later. a ring doesn't keep her legs closed to everyone but you, same goes for the guys. there are a lot of things you don't consider in the long term when you are that young. just my old man experinces (35 and blissfully single and childless, both by my own choice, and living with a 23 y/o anti-girlfriend)

Man... if I could be 21 again! 21 is a good age to be because its the final frontier of being permitted to do all of the stuff that the law said you couldn't do. And then once you get into your 30's you start regretting the fact that you did ALL of those things!
