Frank Miller ruined it. Pig face giants with blade arms WTF? The blood looked like red mercury flying all over, not very real. I liked the part at the end with the close up of the king with the arrow in his chest. You can see the CG arrow bounce around. Everything that wasent a human or a prop was CG. They might as well of gotten squaresoft to make it all in CG. Braveheart was more brutal and no CG. The blood in mortal combat looks more real then 300. The movie would be much better without the Frank Miller ties. The dual spartan fighting was pretty great. The only thing the movie did really well is not watering down Spartan values. Your baby isnt fit, off the cliff he goes.
Its his fucking story, are you stupid? Its an ADAPTATION OF HIS GRAPHIC NOVEL
that movie was fuckin wicked, the fight seens where amazing. i to heard it had a bad review so i went to see it my self.critics say it was to gorie, no way. good movie. blood did look fake but in a cool comic kind of way.

As long as we're bringing Frank Miller to the screen, I expected 300 to be at least half as good as Sin City.
And as somebody else mentioned, half the movie was in slow motion. Why do we need to see sparkling water scooped by hand
in
slow
motion
??
But my opinion doesnt matter, cus that shit did big bucks at the box office. So for all you guys that loved it, 300's success means there will be many more movies just like it.
as far as the movie.. I'll wait for the DVD rip to be posted online, or one of my housemates to buy it.
It's meant for average home theater systems, like ones that you would put in an "extra bedroom after the kids go to college" theater room. And it's mainly to demo the Epson projector.
Trust me, we have bigger ones. Oh, if you only knew...
I went to the first showing today at 11:15, my boss took me and the other 2 guys I work with to see it on our lunch.
I hate going to movies anymore because of all the stupid fucking high school kids that won't SHUT THE FUCK UP and/or stop texting their friends for 2 hours. It's all good though, at the shop, we have a full theater room with a 6' x 4' screen, an HD DVD player, an Epson 1080p projector, and 2 sets of 3-seat leather theater recliners that I can use whenever I want. The sound is better than a movie theater, too. And I can drink.
only 6'x4'? weaksauce. mine's 12'x9'. :p

Seriously, you guys talk like you were expecting an academy award winner. I knew what it was gonna be all along, blood, tits, and amazing computer imagery. It was everything I wanted and more.
Can you make a movie out of nothing but battle scenes and braveheart speeches? No, cus that shit was boring. If I was 13 again I would have liked it. But no. It was basically just a glorified cartoon. (i know, frank miller and all, still whatever)
MAN ALL IT WAS WAS A GLORIFIED COMIC BOOK WHAT THE FUCK
