    Most used car shoppers don't know what they are looking for so they attempt to fool you into thinking that they do. When I was selling a car I had a guy who kept sticking his finger in the tail pipe like he had some sort of fixation with fingers and holes. And I would have left it at that except for the fact that he did that with the gas tank, valve cover (for the oil) , radiator, transmission dip stick, and the washer fluid.

    Needless to say that I wouldn't shake the guy's hand. No telling where else his finger has been.

    I have never sold a car before.. but I am planning on selling 2 this summer... not really looking forward to selling two classic cars (62 continental and 74 2002...)

    yup I know how you feel. Had a guy take my old s10 and reverse to drive it at 4500rpm in 4wd then had it toe nailed to the floor board. I was sitting in the pass seat at the tiem, I flipped out on his ass, he said " I was making sure the 4x4 worked". I just told him to get the fuck out of my truck an get the fuck out of my driveway.

    yeah, the guy today was picking up and pushing down on the door and the bumpers. and i politely asked him wha the was doing. and he said that he was checking for squeaks for when the car is driving.

    in what circumstance would the car be lifted up primarily by the door? i have no idea what these people are thinking.

    I'm use to dealing with older cars. One guy took and beat his fist on the floor trying to check for rust, when he could of just looked under it and seen there was no rust in the floors. It seems that your getting some really odd ball people there.
