Tomorrow we're leaving on a 5-day trip, househunting with my fiance in Panama City Beach, Florida.
It's during Spring Break, I know, maybe we can have some fun if we decide on a place early enough.
I figured it would be prudent to let everyone know...since the last time we took a trip without notice, everyone thought we were dead.
Why here? Well, the population (permanent) is fairly small. It gets wild during spring break, but is quiet otherwise. It's not as hillbillyesque as everywhere between Delaware and Southern Florida, not as populated as Southern Florida, doesn't have the Cali-Culture of the west coast, and is clean and warm, unlike the northeast. It's on the leeward side of Florida, so a Hurricane means lots of rain, but no major devistation. Basically a nice place to settle down.
She's kinda-sorta leaning for living in a highrise along the beach, I'd rather have a house, and I NEED a garage, but we'll see what we can find. House prices make prices along the shore in the NE look like a joke, high-rises are probably more expensive, but you've gotta pay to play. After we get back, things'll be kinda hectic while we start moving.
Here's a pic of the town,
An overview
And here's some info.
