chasing cars

i was driving down my street one day when i see a old MB waiting for me drive by so he could pull out. i glanced at it, noticed it was a 190e and thought to myself hey how cool would that be if it was a 2.3 16v?

about 30 seconds later the guy in the merc is on my tail and gives me a highbeam flash.... so i pull of... turns out hes a major 80s german car fan.. and he has a 2.3 16v.
that car sounds amazing.

anyone else have stuff lke this happen to them/ do this?

I've been working on my car in the driveway and have had a few guys stop with MG's and talk to me about them for a while. I also had a guy who saw my parts car and wanted to buy it from me, thinking I had wrecked and needed to get rid of it. lol

never get 'chased' but i get looks and comments often... lady wanted to by my car for her son a few weeks ago. and then i get "what year is your car?" pretty often, and then "wow" when I tell them its an 87

quite often i get "what year is your car?" 91', wow thought its was newer. I do get a lot of compliments on its good looks, i also get em' when i drive my 83 benz.... what can you say i must have good taste.

I don't get this when i'm in my e30 but once and awhile. It's mostlly when i'm in a muscle car is when i get this treatment, thumbs up, wooooing,yelling,asking to pull over and look at the car, and i've been followed home twice. I got alot of attenchion when i was in my 62 impala ss and 67 coronet r/t. But the most memberable is when i was driving my 67 coronet deluxe in the dead of winter. It had a 273 in it at the time with a small cam headers and 3"exhaust and sounded very healthy. And for the winter i had red line tires on it with hubcaps so it looked like a blast from the past. A guy came up beside me and was freeking out yelling your driving a hemi car in this weather??? I told him to calm down it's not a hemi car, so he still wanted to look under the hood to see if i was telling the truth. And this is a time i can whore out some pictures of some of my past cars.

Every weekend I go out people think my car is like a 95-96 even though its beat to shit.

And everyone always asks how much I would sell it for too... But then I tell em $7k+ and they all get scared (I don't want to sell it, thats why I throw out such a high number :P)

Where I come from, if someone is flashing their high beams and then they eventually follow you home, that's a direct indication that some sort of physical conflict is about to break out. When you put you hand on the door handle, make sure your other hand is on your gun.

i have a neighbor that is always out working on his old saab....I dont think he likes me because I'm always DRIVING my car...

hell, i asked him if he needed help and he just said no and turned away....jealous prick haha.
