A little over a year ago I met my fiancee and she introduced me to God and I have never been happier. Contrary to what equate975 said I think it is the first time I have felt true happiness, as opposed to 'fake' happiness in money, possessions, pride, and other worldly things.
Thanks, dude! Happy to hear that you are walking with the Lord as well!

I stopped going to church because I could not bring myself to believe in a God. I mean this: I think believing in Santa, and believing in God as described in the Bible and known in the Christian religion are on the same levels. The stories and theories are outrageous to me, and my brain will never be able to believe them. I thought this all along while going to church, but when I got old enough to comprehend the corruption, "fake" people, the way people use religion as a crutch, etc... I no longer wanted to be associated with it.

I am fully 100% unsure of how the world was created, as is everyone else. I do not care, unlike most. Yeah, I'll question it from time to time, but you won't see me devoting my life to how it was created as religious folks will do. I don't care because due to the church system, I will never be able to have a believe in a religion, and with no religion it doesn't matter how the earth was created to me.

Trust me, I put in the effort. I grew up under the idea religion was fact, I went to church, I prayed. I looked at people who didn't go to church as "weird". I always thought something was wrong. Well, something was wrong. I didn't believe it. I realized this when I was old enough to make my own choices.
To hopefully finally end your church-system-is-corrupt rant, like someone else said earlier, a church is made up of believers in God, humans. Humans are sinful, myself included of course, and corrupt. No human is perfect therefor, a church could very well be corrupted.

It sounds as though you were putting way to much faith in people at a church, instead of faith in God.

Santa Clause is made up to be what it is now for children - Jesus Christ is followed from all parts of the world, and the Bible is the best selling book ever.

Of course, but the only emotion a faithless person could inspire in a good christian is sorrow for someone who is so lonely in life.

Life is all about relationships and comparisons, if there was no evil, then good would not be outstanding, even God himself in creation included the decieving snake to tempt Adam, remember that (at least to us christians) an atheist is also a creature of God.

There was a Cain and an Abel, There is a Jesus and a Satan, there is the baby zebra , but also the hyena, so please be more tolerant and acceppt ALL creatures of God in creation, no matter how unpleasing, obnoxious or disgusting they seem. (with this I do not want to say that atheists are unpleasing, obnoxious or disgusting, I meant the Hyena) :)

So Maluco read below, soemtimes we have to remind ourselves that the christian religion is not about hate at all.

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you." (Matthew 5:38-42, NIV)

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you." (Luke 6:27-31. NIV)

    Have a nice day y'all. ;)

    Main Entry: the·ism
    Pronunciation: 'thE-"i-zm
    Function: noun
: belief in the existence of a god or gods; specifically : belief in the existence of one God viewed as the creative source of the human race and the world who transcends yet is immanent in the world.
Technically an atheist is one who does not believe in a God or Gods. As such it is not just someone who doesn't believe in the Judeo-Christian God. This takes in a significant portion of the planet's population who are religious, have moral codes, and a path to enlightenment or salvation. Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianist, and several sects of Hinduism do not believe in a "God". The main objection I have to the younger religions is their certainty of being the only way. Usually because it says so in their literature. With this as justification, they are evangelical at best and outright combative at their worst.
As to the those "creative" little Christians, they're giving Weird Al's Amish Paradise a run for the money
