My poor buddy died in his e30 last night

A friend of mine whom I went to high school with, great kid, passed away last night

he had a seizure while driving. The person in the passenger seat tried to take my buddy's foot off the gas but couldn't, the car kept accelerating. I'm sure they were too panicked to pull the car out of gear (5 sp). the passenger got out pretty well, but my buddy didn't make it. it is so crazy.

he was only 23. the reason (I would assume) he had the seizure; he was studying in Italy and working for the embassy a couple years ago. he was riding a moped and some fucking idiot in a car hit him. he was in a coma for like 6 months, 15% chance of living. came out of it fine, moved back to the states, finished school, etc.

the wreck was so bad the thing was literally torn apart. like the motor was down the road. it wasn't a beater or anything, it was a cabrio fully restored by Thorold Imports, so I mean it can't be any discrepancy witht he car, just a terrible impact. the passenger was ok though.

shit suucks. it happened last night around 7, I found out about it early this afternoon. and like 2 hours after that my grandmother died.

RIP reminds me of that scene in Saving Private Ryan where the guy takes a headshot in the helmet, takes it off to admire his insane luck, and takes another headshot through the skull.

and pulling the tranny out of gear while it's under load isn't easy

Wow man, my condolences. At the very least the passenger survived, which in itself is a godsend.
