On a second note, I feel a whole lot safer as a media person who is always behind those barriers in the middle of courses after seeing that video :)

Im with 1992 318is on this one. Who the fuck sets up an auto cross course right fucking next to a jersey barrier? morons. I only watched it once but it looked as if the turn was set up quite close to the wall. Thats just plain stupid on everyones part.

why it was only a piece of junk Ferrari! If it was a Porsche or a BMW I could understand...

I'm impressed at how well the car took the hit. It appeared to roll away smoothly under control with no suspension/steering/wheel damage.

    Here's how!

It's at Irwindale Speedway. He leaves onto the high bank at the beginning. He's coming off the high bank at speed (relatively) and making a right hander onto an infield road course. Cones mark the course, are not setup very well, and the lanes are too narrow. It's not even up to AutoX standards. I doubt that anyone knowledgeable would have put a lane that close to a concrete wall with so little room for error. No way could two cars go through there.
The saving grace is that no matter how much that car is worth, you can't do that much damage to it. $150,000 and it will buff right out. Ferrari got a free impact test out the deal.

FWIW, I have watched that video about a dozen times trying to understand the stupidity of it and I can clearly tell you that he was on the throttle the entire time until about 1/4 sec before the wall when you hear the engine mummer down. It was at throttle until the wall. I would bet they were doing an even based on the movie RedLine and he was trying to show off for it. The problem is, there is not one Enzo or Enzo owner who thinks the car is any good at low speed. Ever see a CGT auto-cross...they don't do anything but push. Same incident here...at 15mph the grippy 60 tread rating Rossos just pushed the small 255 200 tread rating front tires.
