My brother is one in SC and he loves it, I know he's a lodge officer and eats/breaths that freemason stuff.

My dad got invited to be one by a long time business partner. He was going to join, but then they asked him if he was Jewish, Catholic or had any african blood. He said no but when he asked why they wanted to know they told him they dont let "those kinds" of people join. That kinda turned him off to the whole idea. Not to say that all freemasons are bigots but the local ones appear to be.

My dad was a mason judge for a bit. I read segments from a book of his dated back in the 1800's. I read the group was based around religious views and that ended my interest in the group.

Sounds like your the one thats looking to start something. I had assumed the Masons were more of less neutral but they aren't. Turns me off but I'm sure you would like it.

My dear friend Bilson. If you don't know about the subject, then read about it first. Funkmasta was very kind to give a hint where to get the info, and then you start playing stupid with him. What do you expect? The way you have oriented the topic is pretty much damn stupid right from the start. If you are trying to push another point on religion, please say so, right from the start.

Another point of view on "Franc-Ma&#231;onnerie" could be what was said in a certain novel called "The Da Vinci Code" where the Franc-Ma&#231;ons were hiding the Sacred Graal from the Church and were probably "hereticized" because of that. Please again, leave religion outside of here. Religions have done no good to the world.

Bilson, to be a freemason you first have to seek it out, which is kind of what your doing right now, so keep it up I guess.

Second, that crap about jews and catholics is bs, they let anyone in as long as you believe in a "higher power".

Theres some other stuff I guess, but I think its crap. My grandfather and uncle are in it and love it to death. So I recomend that if your interested and believe in some sort of god, to check out your local chapter. They dont hide out like the KKK or something.
