airsoft and paintball can both hurt as much as you want them to. What most people do is compare apples to oranges when comparing airsoft to paintball, "I have a tippy A5 and bought a $15 pos springer pistol to airsoft.....airsoft sucks."

Both are a ton of fun, but i like the better simulation/different attitude of airsoft.

Shortsleeved event I am assuming that means you can go to a paintball event wearing just a t-shirt and shorts (thats what I used to do)

It would make sense that a pellet hurts more than something that breaks on you. Compare by having someone throw an egg at your forehead, then have someone throw a rock at your forehead.

I'm too stupid to completely explain the difference between kinetic force that bounces off your skin, and kinetic force that your skin absorbs.

Depending on the climate, the quality of the paintball and chance, not all paintballs bust when hitting you. I made the mistake of pulling off my mask while walking off one of our games in the summer and got hit just beside my eye. The whole area was swollen and black for a week. BTW that particular paintball, while hitting me right in the bone of my eyesocket, did not bust.....

ok, here's my argument to the whole debate. paintball is a ton of fun, to shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot. airsoft is more tactical, playing in close quarter combat situations, especially when you're only using a pistol, you have to conserver your ammo. squads must be made, taking note of cleared rooms and applying cover fire is tons of fun. also, people are starting to throw practical pistol competitions, just like the ipsc series. can't really walk around like a navy seal with a big ol hunkin co2 gun.

I bought the BT adjustable sight rail from walmart's site. They were the least expensive and, in order to avoid shipping charges, you have the option of having it sent to your local walmart.

I think you are referring to speedball though. I agree with you there. Those guys just let off who knows how many rounds a second or whatever. It's ridiculous. They can't even peer around the inflatable without SPLAAAAT!!!! Woodsball on the other hand can be very tactical. As far as close quarters go, I understand your point however if I recall correctly most all SWAT and the military progress through these environments with assault rifles, shorter versions albeit, but assault rifles. I plan on getting a hose and wearing my tank on my back soon....

today at school i wore my "i got your tickets to the gun show" t-shirt. and a teacher that i have worn that shirt in front of at least ten times, dress-coded me for wearing it. and her reason was because of the virginia tech shooting. which is complete bullshit. just because something happens doesnt mean everything that has to do with the tragedy should be put on hold.

but i do feel for the families and loved ones of the lost victims. damn gooks.
