dangerous to put 160lbs in trunk?

Could I safely put a 150-160lb v8 transmission in the trunk of an E30? Guy in So-cal wants to buy it and I have friends down there i could make a trip out of it.

    why not?
The weight wouldn't be a big deal, just have to make sure that it doesn't roll around.

I don't see why not, if my dad's little dodge colt can carry two 727 transmissions. I don't see why an e30 couldn't.

Of course it's fine. Shit, I guarantee I've had a lot more than that in my car[s].

If you are really concerned about the weight in the trunk then lay that trannie across the back seat with a board and some blankets. Last winter I loaded up my trunk with 6 bags of play sand- 50 lbs each. The car leaned a little bit but the car otherwise drove normally.

I've put two asian girls in my trunk before and it didn't do any damage, I don't see why a tranny would do any harm if properly stored?

I took some of the color out of the guy's face and hands to give it more of a realistic effect.

you have a trailer, with a crane thingy so you dont have to hurt your back

btw, how many lbs can you haul in your trailer?
