Could I safely put a 150-160lb v8 transmission in the trunk of an E30? Guy in So-cal wants to buy it and I have friends down there i could make a trip out of it.

I don't see why not, if my dad's little dodge colt can carry two 727 transmissions. I don't see why an e30 couldn't.

If you are really concerned about the weight in the trunk then lay that trannie across the back seat with a board and some blankets. Last winter I loaded up my trunk with 6 bags of play sand- 50 lbs each. The car leaned a little bit but the car otherwise drove normally.Comment
