It's about two hours from where I am and $25 for the weekend. Ft Worth's NASJRB annual airshow is only about 45 mins and free however they don't have the WWII nor the TORA TORA TORA performance. I'm really fond of WWII and the TORA TORA TORA thing seems pretty nice as well.

Damn, the Blastards and other pyro was awesome!!!! Not to mention hearing the F16's rip the sky several new ones.

Who was their main performer? Since it is a naval air station I would assume it was to be the Blue Angels. Are they still grounded?

The Blue Angels are great and all but the mock battle scenario "took my breath away" (get it, Take Breath Away song from Top Gun) Admit it, you loved that movie...LOL.

That shit was intense. As close as the common person can come to seeing the real thing in person.

"ground personnel and equipment in a mock battle with a B-52, F/A18's, MH-53, paratroop jumps, simulated bomb bursts and a "wall of fire" pyrotechnic display "

There were around 11 planes up in the sky...

that sounds fuckin awesome. Our Hillboro Airshow isn't too bad as we have two very active airports, but it doesn't hold a candle to that airshow!

Never been to the one up there, but the Wings Over Houston Airshow is performed at a base about 10 minutes from the house. There's also another one in Galveston the the Confederate Airforce puts on out over there museum there, lots of WWII planes and such. Watchin the F16's and such practice the entire week before and scarin the hell out of everyone in morning rush hour traffic is great!
