honestly, they have a point. parents suck when they're trying to control their no-longer-minor- childs every move. It's hard to tell if it's actually worth it. I went to a private catcholic school in high school (against my will, but it turned out not so bad) and I had a few friends deal with this because not everyone was Catholic, or even Christian for that matter.
Talk to HER, ignore her parents for now. Discuss with her your feelings and if hers are the same or similar, THEN dig into the religion issue. Explain to her you think she should be able to make her own decisions since she's 19. If she still persists that religion is an issue with her parents then take the clue- it's not JUST her parents that are worried about the religion difference.
